Our Story
Built for the Curious,
Made in Nigeria
WakaFinds exists because Nigeria's best places deserve to be found.
Why We Built This
Nigeria has always been full of extraordinary places. The problem was finding them.
WakaFinds started with a simple frustration — travelling across Nigeria and relying on word-of-mouth to find the best spots, because no single platform had done the work of pulling it all together. The hidden beach in Cross River. The rooftop bar in Ikoyi. The mountain trail outside Jos. The suya spot in Kano that has been running since the eighties.
We built WakaFinds to take the stress out of discovery — a platform that celebrates local businesses, promotes Nigerian tourism, and gives every state, every city, and every neighbourhood a chance to be seen.
In a world where global brands dominate the conversation, we believe the best experiences are often the ones that haven't been written about yet. We're here to change that.
“Nigeria's best places deserve to be found — not just by the lucky few, but by anyone curious enough to look.”
What We Stand For
Three principles that guide everything we build and every listing we publish.
Local First
Every listing on WakaFinds is a Nigerian business, a Nigerian landmark, or a Nigerian experience. We champion what's homegrown — always.
Curated & Verified
Every submission goes through a manual review before it goes live. We'd rather have fewer great places than thousands of mediocre ones.
Community Driven
Our best discoveries come from Nigerians who know their cities. Submit a location, share a review, help us build the most complete picture of this country.
