1. About WakaFinds

WakaFinds is a Nigerian travel and discovery platform that helps users find restaurants, hotels, landmarks, events and other destinations across Nigeria. We aggregate information submitted by users, businesses and our editorial team.

2. Acceptance of Terms

By using WakaFinds — whether browsing listings, submitting a location, writing a review or purchasing event tickets — you confirm that you are at least 13 years old and that you accept these Terms in full. If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, you must not use our platform.

3. Using WakaFinds

3.1 Permitted Use

You may use WakaFinds for lawful, personal and non-commercial purposes. You are welcome to share links to listings and events with others.

3.2 Prohibited Use

You must not:

• Scrape, copy or republish our listings, reviews or content without permission
• Submit false, misleading or fraudulent listings or reviews
• Use the platform to harass, defame or harm others
• Attempt to gain unauthorised access to our systems
• Use automated tools to interact with the site without written consent
• Post content that is illegal, obscene or infringes third-party rights

4. User-Submitted Content

When you submit a location, write a review or post any content on WakaFinds, you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide licence to display, reproduce and distribute that content on our platform and related promotional materials. You confirm that you own the content or have the right to share it, and that it does not violate any law or third-party rights.

We reserve the right to moderate, edit or remove any submitted content that breaches these Terms or that we consider unsuitable, without notice.

5. Reviews and Ratings

Reviews on WakaFinds must reflect a genuine personal experience. You must not submit reviews for your own business, a competitor's business with the intention to harm, or in exchange for payment or incentives. Fake reviews may be removed and repeat offenders may be blocked from the platform.

6. Event Tickets

Where ticket sales are enabled for an event, the following applies:

• All ticket purchases are final unless the event is cancelled by the organiser
• Payments are processed securely via Paystack in accordance with their terms
• WakaFinds acts as a ticket distribution platform; the event organiser is responsible for delivering the event experience
• In the case of event cancellation, refund decisions rest with the event organiser; WakaFinds will facilitate communication but does not guarantee refunds

7. Intellectual Property

All content on WakaFinds — including the WakaFinds name, logo, design, original photography and editorial text — is the property of WakaFinds or its content providers and is protected by Nigerian and international copyright law. You must not reproduce, distribute or create derivative works without our express written permission.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

WakaFinds is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. We make no warranties — express or implied — as to the accuracy, completeness or reliability of any listing, review, price or operational status of any venue. Opening hours, prices and details change frequently; always verify directly with the business before visiting.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by Nigerian law, WakaFinds and its team shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential damages arising from your use of the platform, your reliance on any listing or review, or any transaction you enter into with a listed business or event organiser.

10. Third-Party Links

Our platform may contain links to third-party websites (including venue websites and Google Maps). These links are provided for your convenience. WakaFinds does not endorse and is not responsible for the content or practices of any third-party site.

11. Privacy

Your use of WakaFinds is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains how we collect and use your information.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page will reflect the most recent revision. Continued use of WakaFinds after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the new Terms.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of WakaFinds shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Rivers State, Nigeria.
