About Gurara Waterfalls
Gurara Waterfalls is the weekend adventure that every Abuja resident needs on their list. A 75-kilometre drive from the capital leads to a spectacular series of cascades where the Gurara River drops over a wide granite shelf into a pool surrounded by mist and tropical vegetation. The falls are at their most powerful between July and October during the rainy season, but remain impressive year-round. Local guides lead visitors along the bank, and the combination of thundering water, lush greenery and the drive itself through Niger State's rolling landscapes makes it a full day well spent.

The nature trails were lovely and the scenery was stunning. Saw some interesting wildlife too. Would definitely return on my next trip.

Beautiful green space in the heart of the city. Perfect for a morning jog or a picnic with family. A definite highlight of my Nigeria trip.
