About Jos Wildlife Park
Jos Wildlife Park is one of Nigeria's most underrated natural attractions — a 4,000-hectare game reserve on the Jos Plateau at an elevation that brings consistently cool temperatures and a highland quality of light that makes the wildlife photography exceptional. Lions, cheetahs, hyenas, ostriches, giraffes and a wide range of antelope species inhabit the reserve, and the altitude — over 1,200 metres above sea level — means the air here is genuinely cool and fresh in a way that immediately distinguishes Jos from every other major Nigerian city. The park feels remote and wild despite being within the city boundary.
