About Yankari Game Reserve
Yankari is Nigeria's premier wildlife destination — a 2,244 square kilometre game reserve in Bauchi State that protects one of West Africa's largest remaining elephant populations alongside buffalo, hippos, baboons, warthogs and over 350 bird species. The reserve's natural spring, Wikki Warm Spring, produces millions of litres of crystal-clear water daily at a constant 31°C, creating one of the continent's most unusual natural swimming experiences. The on-site Wikki Tourist Camp provides comfortable lodging, and the safari drives at dawn reveal a Nigeria that most Nigerians never get to see.
